MUST. FIGHT. JUNK. FOOD. DAY!!!

13717412_10153839257836588_2615945053989786524_oHappy National Junk Food Day everyone! Here is an important (friendly) reminder; junk food is STILL and ALWAYS will be bad for your teeth. It’s a bummer right? Although we all get our cravings, junk food (especially sweets) causes cavities. Let’s be real though, we aren’t always prepared to brush and floss but there are some choices that are better for your teeth than others. These include: sugar- free lollipops, gum with xylitol and dark chocolate. If you do choose to indulge, here are some tips we have for you to help prevent cavities.
• Avoid sticky carbohydrates.
• Stay away from acidic drinks like sodas and power drinks when satisfying your junk food cravings.
• Remove food particles off your teeth ASAP by brushing and flossing!
So, although it is national junk food day please remember to keep your smile happy!
